All of the companies listed on this site will give you great value for money and a first rate service.
It depends upon the type of service you need and you personal circumstances which one will be right for you, but here are some suggestions about how to start:
Credit Score and Reports
If all you need is access to your credit report you cannot go far wrong with FreeCreditScore.com which is part of the Experian group of companies. You can obtain your score as part of the Free Trail Period so if you have no further need for the service you can always cancel within the trial period at no cost.
For ongoing credit monitoring and identity protection services, the Equifax ID Patrol is a more comprehensive package for the same price when purchased through this site.
Identity Theft Protection
If you need to make sure that your identity is kept safe, this is what I would choose.
Why?
Because Trusted ID not only gives you a 3 bureau credit monitoring, score and report, but it also provides protection for your PC. It gives you most of the features that all the other plans give but at a really good price. So, for example, lost wallet protection is automatically included.
The PC protection means that your details will not get passed around the internet, and spy-ware attacks and other scams can be prevented.
All this from Trusted ID . From only $10.42 per month, you can get an incredible deal.
Whatever you choose, it should provide some peace of mind at a very low cost in comparison to the cost of having your identity stolen or given away by someone you have trusted to keep it safe.

Individual protection costs $10.42/month. Family protection is $20/month. Click here for a 14 day free trial |
Whatever level of service you choose, make sure that you do not leave it too late. Nobody will give you cover retrospectively, so if you have already had you identity stolen, you could have to sort it all out yourself! That’s a scary prospect.
